The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) reccommends that all vehicle lifts be inspected by a qualified inspector at least annually "in order to ensure reliablily and allow the continued safe operation of the lift." Additionally, an increasing number of local building codes and other regulations require annual lift inspections. Lift Works performs Automotive Lift Inspections following the guidance provided by the American National Standard/Automotive Lift Institute, Inc.
Lift Works is a Rotary Authorized Installer backed by comprehensive factory training in installing, maintaining, and inspecting each lift. In addition to years of field experience, our inspectors attend courses on: Basic Electricity, Electrical Safety, Basics Hydraulics, Plumbing, Hand and Power Tool Safety, Lock Out/Tag Out Proceedures.
Lift inspections done by Lift Works often include basic maintenance proceedures. Cables and moving parts are lubricated and adjusted where applicable, and torque is verified on all anchor bolts. (ANSLI/ALI ALOIM-2000) www.autolift.org The ANSIL/ALI ALOIM-2000 is a companion standard to the ANSI/ALI ALCTV-1998. The standard provides the guidance to owners or employers with regard to the operation, inspection and maintenance of installed automotive lifts. The standard specifies the required qualifications, training, reporting and documentation for operators, inspectors and maintenance personnel. Lift Works will work with you to schedule an inspection and provide minimal disruption to your service department. Lift Works provides all required materials, repairs and documentation. Your lifts will be numbered and a lift inspection sticker with the inspector's name and the date will be applied to the lift. You will be presented with a binder containing Lift Inspections Reports, Lifting it Right (a Safety Manual from the Automotive Lift Institute), Quick Reference Guide for vehicle lifting points, and The American National Standard Safety Requirements for Operation: Inspection and Maintenance for Automotive Lifts.
